Hospitalar is the leading health fair in Brazil and Latin America, featuring products ranging from the most sophisticated state-of-the-art medical technology to disposables. More than 1200 exhibitors and 70,000 attendees are anticipated at this year’s show.

The previous show attracted visitors from 40 nations and more than 1,000 exhibiting brands. With a new venue and floorplan at The São Paulo Expo Center, the show enabled exhibitors to do even more business during the 4-day event. Formal congresses enable thousands of attendees to participate in formal events in cooperation with partner institutions.

THE MARKET

Brazil is the largest healthcare market in Latin America and spends 5.2% of its GDP on healthcare. In 2024, its steady growth of U.S. medical device exports to Brazil increased to $9.79 billion and of the approximately 6,642 hospitals, 63% are private. As of 2025, there are approximately 532,645 hospital beds, 88,000 healthcare supplementary services, 502,000 physicians, 331,000 dentists and 89,000 drug stores. Continued expansion of Brazilian private healthcare, particularly in the HMO sector, will create new opportunities for U.S. exporters, particularly for more advanced medical equipment, disposables, diagnostic devices, implants and components.
